The Gobelins tapestry wall coverings woven by Jacques Neilson, circa 1764-1771, comprising three medallion tapestries, three overdoors and a pair of upright panels, the medallions after Francois Boucher (1703-1770) with 'damas cramoisi' surrounds (alentours) by Maurice Jacques with looped floral garlands, all in elaborate golden picture frame borders. Installed and altered for placement in this lower drawing room location in 1868, after ninety-seven years (1771-1868) upstairs.
