Part of a Sevres Cabaret set, painted by Chapuis, on bleu de Roi ground. In the centre of the plateau is an oval panel painted in colours with a Cupid teaching an infant to play the flute, borders and festoons of laurel leaves in gilding, the remaining pieces similarly decorated; date letter U, 1773. the set consists of: i) a lozenge shaped plateau with pierced edge, 36.8cm.. long, ii) a sucrier, iii) a small ewer, iv) and v) two foffe cans, vi) and vii) two saucers.
