Le Chameau and l'Elephant (The Camel and the Elephant) A composite tapestry, comprising two associated separate panels of the original series, depicting: (left) Le Chameau (Fenaille: no.I) and (right) l'Elephant (Fenaille: no. VII); in associated frame pattern border cut and joined, about 13ft. high by 19ft. 6in. wide overall, left part signed Desportes and Neilson pxt and right part signed Neilson ex 1754; the two parts joined irregularly down the centre, lacking bottom selvage.
