A pair of false quilted ladies elbow length mitts, English, circa 1710, the linen ground embroidered overall in minute yellow silk running stitches with foliate roundels and diamonds, bound in yellow ribbon, the thumb holes inset with matching fabric and crudely cut, later alteration of inset beige silk to the lower section in order to widen.
