A fine yew and walnut George IV Cabinet on Stand. The upper portion with moulded cornice. The double doors with crossbanding opening to reveal a series of simulated ebonised single and double drawers. The double doors opening to reveal a finely worked chequer board crossbanding which also matches the top of the stand. The open bases with X shaped stretcher and platform, slightly cabriole legs. The whole with ormolu mount and with the Royal Coat of Arms. 57in. x 26in. Was owned by Queen Victoria's Apothecary.

The cabinet-on-stand will be available to be seen by the public, without prior appointment, at the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries of London, Apothcaries' Hall, Black Friars Lane, London, EC4V 6EJ. at all times when it is open and when the room in which the cabinet is displayed is not otherwise engaged. The Apothecaries' Hall is open during the week, Monday to Friday, except public holidays. Anyone wishing to see the cabinet is advised to telephone first to ensure that the room in not engaged.
