A famille rose armorial dinner-service, each painted with a central coat-of-arms, floral cartouches and four armed crests within a spearhead-pattern border, comprising: A pair of oblong octagonal soup-tureens, covers and stands, with animal-head handles and scroll finials (one cover restored) (tureens in Marlborough Room, the stands in Store). Five lobed shallow sauceboats (one in Store, damaged). Two oblong octagonal trencher salts. two oblong octagonal dishes, 11 1/2in. wide. Two punch bowls with puce diaper interior borders (one restored), 11 1/4in. and 12 1/4in diam. (in the Marlborough Room). A globular teapot and cover (handle restored) A pear-shaped coffee-pot and cover. four teabowls (on repaired). Five coffee-cups and ten saucers (two saucers damaged, one cup handle lacking). A bowl. Four saucer-dishes (in Marlborough Room), circa 1770. The arms are those of Poyntz with Courtenay in pretence.
