A George II salver, Thomas Gilpin, 1749, circular, on four mask and vine feet, the border cast and pierced with Chinese busts, animals heads, flowers and vines, the centre engraved with a coat-of-arms in a rococo cartouche and chased with a border of flowers shells and scrolls on a matted ground, 25 1/2in. diameter.
