A set of four Brussels tapestry panels woven with subjects after Teniers by Francois Van der Borght, the panels within narrow foliate picture borders and with the Brussels factory mark: 1. A panel depicting figures of peasants to the right dancing and drinking at a table outside an inn, the centre with children playing with birds, to the left travellers and sheep crossing a stream, a sheep and shepherds to the centre in front of a church and a mansion - 9ft. 10in. high, 17ft. 5in. wide Francois Van de Borght (a) (1720-1765), was in partnership with his brother Pierre (1712-1763). The Kermesse, or village dance, with figures dancing outside an inn to the music of drum and pipe, to the left a boy seated by a stream on a rock and figures dancing to a bag-piper, to the centre a shepherd with sheep - 9ft. 10in. high, 11ft. 8in. wide, signed 3. Two men, a woman with a baby, are seated to the centre beneath a tree, to the left two children, one with a hoop, a figure fishes in the centre by two cottages - 9ft. 10in. high, 6ft. 7in. wide 4.
