A Limoges polychrome enamel triptych ascribed to Jean Penicaud, the centre panel with the Crucifixion, flanked on the left by Christ on the road to Calvery meeting St. Veronica, and on the right with the Deposition, heightened with gold, in narrow metal-gilt moulded frame applied with detachable double leaves, in later brass surround with imbricated architectural top and chequered base, circa 1525 overall height 17in. high, wide 20 1/8in., the enamel panels 10in. high 2 Jan. 1983, p. 216, under no. 106 The View is looking down the gorge of the Arnio, with the Campagna in the distance; on the cliff, left, the Temple of the Sybil and the Temple of Tiburtius
