A giltwood throne, the arched back carved with interlaced foliage on X-shaped support, the seat and footstool, en suite, covered in royal purple velvet, the back panel embroidered with Prince of Wales' plumes. Made for and used by King Edward VII when Prince of Wales on State occasions in the House of Lords.
