A large nine-light candelabrum

A large nine-light candelabrum, after a design by Flaxman, on triangular base with shell feet and foliage centre flanked by stags, the stem formed as a tree entwined by a serpent attended by three female figures, with foliage branches, lily nozzles and finial formed as the Stanley crest, the base with a lengthy inscription recording the presentation to Edward, Earl of Derby, in 1826 - by John Bridge, 1824, 51in. high.
