A late 17th Century bracket clock by Joseph Knibb, London; the 6 1/4ins. square brass dial with silvered chapter ring with fleur-de-lys half-hour markers, Oxford hour hand, matted centre and cherub mask spandrels; the movement with verge escapement, rack striking, latched plates, and the backplate engraved with scrolled flowers and signed Joseph Knibb Londini fecit; contained in an ebony veneered case with domed top with gilt-brass urn finials, carrying handle and escutcheons and pierced mounts, 13 1/2ins. high including carrying handle.
