A Venetian silver double-sided oval medal commemorating Morosinis campaign against the Turks in 1687, the front with a Doge enthroned flanked by three clerics accepting obeisance from two Turkish warriors, inscribed: Parcere Subiectis et Debellare Superbos scit Nobilis ira Leonis; the obverse with a winged lion rampant holding a sword entwined with laurel (peace) in one paw, and a dolphin in the other, a floral wreath around his front leg, trampling a broken arrow and bow, inscribed Ex Utroque Victor; the edge inscribed Serenissimi Leonis alati/Solo saloque turgarum victoris/triumphale florilegium, circa 1687 2 7/8in. high
