An elegant fold leaf-cast swivel seal, engraved with the coat of arms of David Garrick, circa 1780, with paper inscribed : Seal of David de la Garrigue who came to England from Bordeaux in 1685, changed his name to Garric and died 1694. David Garrick 1716-1797, his grandson, had his initials engraved at back. Although it is not possible that the seal could be as early as 1694, it is perfectly possible that the seal was in fact David Garricks since the coat of arms is certainly his
