A Regency silver-gilt large two-handled vase-shaped cup and cover, on circular domed base chased with a band of intertwining laurel on a matted ground, the lower part of the body decorated with fluting and with large reeded foliate loop handles terminating in female medallions, the rim similarly chased to the base and below with two applied laurel wreaths containing a presentation inscription dated 1812, the high domed cover with cock and garb finial, by Peter and William Bateman, 1812, in fitted case 19ins. high.
