An early 18th century English bureau-cabinet of black and gold lacquer with Chinoiserie decoration throughout, and double-domed top: the upper part with a pair of panelled doors enclosing small drawers, a cupboard and pigeon holes the lower part with a writing compartment enclosed by a sloping flap, with two long and two short drawers below, and the whole supported upon bun feet, and fitted with brass drop handles and lock plates. 39in. wide 75in. high.
