An 18th century English walnut Chippendale design card table, the top lined in pale green velvet fitted with candlestands and guinea wells and folding to form a side table of oblong shape; on a "concertina" underframe with locking slide, four cabriole legs of which two are carved at the knees with rosettes and formal foliage and supported on four hairy claw feet; with a later detachable top converting the piece into a tea table. 32in. square 28in. high.
