Portrait of Dr John Morgan (born 1702). Half length, the sitter wearing a brown jacket and purple cloak over a white opened-neck shirt, in full length grey wig. The painting inscribed 'Dr Morgan'. As the sitter was Professor of Anatomy from 1728 to 1734 it is likely to have been painted between these dates. In the manner of Michael Dahl (1656-1743). Oil on canvas, 30in. x 25in. in a period carved, gilt wood frame.
