England, mid-15th century. 237 leaves (8in. by 5in.), 19 lines to a page, Psalm 1 decorated with an historiated 6 line initial of the Trinity, other alluminated initials are 2-3 line and 8 other psalms have 4-6 line initials decorated in colours on burnished gold panels with partial borders of flowers and leaves, the text within a frame of gold and pink bars issuing flowers and leaf stems in colours heightened with gold penwork, marginal flourishings and line endings. 19th century red morocco, rubbed (GJ 535)
