A silk needlework rectangular panel, the central cartouche worked in colours with fish, birds and waterplants representing a pond, the surround with trellis-and-rosette inset with panels of flowering plants and vases with animals, birds and trees at the sides, the border woven with stylised flower sprays and scrolling foliage on a light brown ground, 158in. wide, last quarter 17th century.
