Humphrey Repton, Manuscript "Red Book" for Bayham Abbey, seat of the second Earl Camden, later 1st Marquis 1800. Proposals for building a new Gothic mansion, lake and alterations to landscape, with watercolour views. Original morocco binding, oblong, quarto. There is also an accompanying Addendum of loose leaf calf folio (400 x 270mm), containing plans and drawings which appear to be subsequent refinements to the initial proposals detailed in Repton's Red Book of 1800.
