Antique Silver Warwick vase and cover, diameter 11ins, height 15 inches, silver gilt, the body applied with lion pelts and human masks on matted ground, egg and dart mounted cape, two intertwined cast vine handles, plain square foot, cover with raised centre surmounted by a cast fruiting vine finial, on plain burnished ground, acanthus leaf border with incuse fluting below, all on a square ebonised plinth with gilt inscription plate engraved "Presented by Gerald Coke, CBE, DL/Master 1945 and 1957-1959/In Celebration of the long association/of his family with/The Worshipful Company of Spectaclemakers." George IV 1824. Birmingham. Probably Samuel Haines.
