A German silver-gilt gourd-shaped cup and cover, the cup on circular domed base chased with large flowers and foliage, the stem formed as a loosely draped male figure holding a spear in his right hand and supporting above him the bowl, similarly decorated and with warrior finial holding in his left hand an escutcheon and in his right a pennant engraved Kell anno 1682, circa 1680, Kiel, makers mark S.L.O. 18in. high.
