A large Limoges basin, painted en grisaille, the raised centre boss enamelled with a profile of a bust of a woman, within a double border of gilt foliate scrolls, in the depression a continuous frieze with the Battle of Israel with Amalek (Exodus XVII), the border with a band of grotesque masks, the reverse with strapwork interspersed with masks, gilt scroll border, the centre with a portrait of a bust of a man and woman, by Pierre Reymond, 1569, 18in. diam.
