A Collection of cushion covers: j) A long cushion of yellow satin re-applied with spot motifs of birds, one partly padded, edged with silver lace, (very fragile) late 16th/early 17th c, re-applied inside measurement 17in x 33in approximately l) Another similar to (j) but with smaller birds, very fragile 16in x 33 in m) Long cushion composed of seven fragments of crimson velvet worn with gold and silver flowers and stamped, 17th c (more worn) 21in x 37in n) Another of eleven fragments similar, 17th century (very fragile except one fragment 22in x 37in o) Another similar to (l) but in better condition, remounted on black facecloth of blue silk embroidered with brown 16in x 27in p) A large cushion in fairly good condition, the black field applied with birds in flowering branches, 17th century with gilt thread border, re-applied on black facecloth, the braid also reapplied 22in x 35in q) Another similar, but the velvet applique is in much better condition the stamped velvet flowers still show the outline of the petals 21 1/2in x 33 in r) Another similar, the velvet also in quite good condition, all the applique pieces are edged with fly braid in good condition 22in x 35 in 22in x 36 1/2 in.
