A George II carved mahogany armchair, the serpentine toprail outlined with scrolls and with a two-tier gothic pierced splat within curved moulded uprights, the outset arms with acanthus leaf-carved handles on double C-scrolled supports carved with leaves, the slip-in seat with a blind fret carved seatrail on square tapering legs panelled and carved with gothic fret and leaf-carved collar, joined to the back legs by curved moulded X-form stretchers, circa 1755.
