A George II lacquer painted and parcel-gilt console table, in the manner of William Kent, circa 1730, the oblong top in Takiumakie lacquer, probably from the top of an export casket, the Greek key pattern frieze on three scrolling legs headed by plumed masks and united by swags of bay leaves, the shaped base carved with acanthus leaves and on a black painted plinth, 82cm. by 88cm.
