A Meissen pear shaped jug, circa 1735/46 painted in the manner of C.F. Heroldt with a continuous landscape with merchants bartering and labourers unloading vessels beside a busy waterway, the wishbone handle detailed in puce with a moulded shell thumbpiece decorated in an overlapping scale pattern, the spout also detailed in puce, crossed swords mark in underglaze blue, impressed star mark with an arrow, 12.7cm.
