A Wedgwood and Bentley variegated creamware two-handled base (with contemporary wooden cover), the cream handles formed as entwined snakes above grotesque bearded masks, one side decorated in cream coloured relief with Diana drawing a bow from her quiver, on a sponged, slightly mottled blue-black ground, with spreading stem and black basalt plinth. (Handles, foot and stem repaired.) 30 cms high.
