A Victorian gilt-brass chronometer repeating carriage clock, circa 1860, the enamel dial signed Dent, 33 Cockspur St. London 23740, with seconds dial and set within a gilt engine-turned surround, the two train fusee and chain gong striking movement similarly signed with maintaining power and spring detent escapement with helical free-sprung balance spring, the glazed rectangular case with divided flush fitting handle, repeating button at the side, dust shutters to the back openings and engraved on the side glasses with a monogram below a coronet, the front with a presentation inscription "Victor Alexander Grosvenor Viscount Belgrave, the gift of his grandfather George Granville 2nd. Duke of Sutherland K.G. 1861". with the original numbered key and a giltwood and ebonised stand.
