A carved oak longcase clock, circa 1740, the 12-inch dial signed Danl. Phillips Bridgnorth above a silvered moon disc and with calendar sector, arcaded minutes and cherub and flower spandrels, formerly with centre seconds, the movement with well turned pillars, rack and bell striking and separately suspended pendulum, the arched case with urn finials, hood pilasters and broken-arched trunk door, the whole decorated with 19th century carving but retaining traces of the original chequered stringing on the door.
