A gold memorial ring, the bezel of octagonal form set with a sapphire, flanked by four flaming lamps and two panels enclosing hair, the reverse ornamented with a coat-of-arms in relief and enamelled. The enamelled hoop is inscribed in gold on white enamel ground Henry. Cavendishe. Ld. Harley. Nat: 18 Oc: 1725. Ob:22.Oc. 1725: on a white enamel ground, and within the hoop Une. Vie. Si. Court. Grand. Affliction. The ring marks the birth and death at four days of the only son of Edward Harley, 2nd Earl of Oxford.
